咖啡山文史记录工作

诚致文史爱好者：

我们目前正为俗称咖啡山的武吉布朗（Bukit Brown）坟场的文史记录与田野调查工作征寻工作者。新加坡陆路交通管理局近期公布了一项于该坟场建造一条各有四条车道的双向公路工程计划。这项陆路工程将穿越坟场，并对约百分之五或5至6千座坟墓造成影响。

这项文史记录工作将由东南亚研究院的许耀峰博士领导。文史记录工作预计于2011年11月至2012年3月进行，期间的工作范围包括对即将被挖掘的坟墓进行摄像记录以及抄录墓碑碑文等。除此之外，该工作亦会对与该坟场相关的历史、记忆与仪式进行记录。

.Dear heritage friends,

Fieldworkers are needed for the documentation of graves at Bukit Brown Cemetery. As announced recently, the Land Transport Authority will be constructing a dual-four lane road through the cemetery, which is estimated to affect 5% or around 5,000-6,000 of the 100,000 graves at the cemetery.

The project, led by Dr Hui Yew-Foong from the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, will involve taking photographs of and copying of inscriptions from the soon-to-be exhumed graves. The estimated time-frame for this phase of the project is from late November 2011 to March 2012. Besides the documentation of graves, the project will also document the history, memories and rituals associated with the cemetery.
